Challenge your fate to define who you are.
Hilt and Blade is a No Dice, No Masters game uses a set of mechanics and rules to communicate a science-fiction/fantasy setting of endless war, giant robots, and teenage pilots. Hilt and Blade focuses on massive, catastrophic battles between mecha and monsters and equally as catastrophic interpersonal politics of teenagers trying to figure out what it means to be a teen and a weapon...and which they should reject.
Inside these rulebooks you'll find:
- An implied setting of a hyper militarized world alongside the mundane communicated through character choices mechanics.
- A resolution system that highlights narratively interesting moments by opening up exciting, storytelling possibilities for players.
- Focus on interpersonal play, both between players and an emphasis on character emotion.
- Quick character creation that lets you jump into play in less than 30 minutes.
- Guidance for the GM in managing the moving parts to allow the players to frame scenes and push the action forward.
Will you play your role?
What truth will you discover at the end?
